Backend Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Developer to maintain and design new features for our products. You will collaborate with development teams and product managers to plan, prioritize, and scale software solutions while translating UI/UX designs into high‑quality code.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and design new product features.
• Work with development teams and product managers on planning, architecture, and scaling.
• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into clean, testable code.
• Participate in strategic technical decisions for digital products.
• Deliver secure, readable, and well‑documented software focused on customer needs.
• Develop system architecture, specifications, and modularize features.

Required profile

• B.Sc. in Sciences or a related field.
• 3–5 years post‑NYSC experience as a Software Developer.
• Experience designing interactive applications.
• Ability to develop software using JavaScript, C#, CSS, and HTML5.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases such as Sybase, Microsoft SQL Server, or Oracle.
• Experience with at least one popular web framework (e.g., MVC).
• Familiarity with test‑driven development.
• Proficiency with software engineering tools and documentation.
