AWS Architect – Remote – $100,000/year

About the role

You will be the engineer responsible for keeping more than 50 SaaS products running smoothly in a remote, undocumented AWS environment. Using automation, monitoring and AI‑assisted tools, you will drive reliability above 99.9% and restore order where original builders have left.

Key responsibilities

• Execute complex infrastructure migrations, consolidations and production‑grade automation projects.
• Respond to production incidents, deploy immediate remediation and author thorough root‑cause analyses.
• Draft, validate and apply production changes while ensuring safety standards and rollback criteria.
• Author runbooks, design deployment pipelines from dev to full rollout, and implement monitoring for edge‑case detection.
• Lead infrastructure initiatives, incident management, RCAs and change execution with clear documentation.

Required profile

• Proven ownership of a critical SaaS platform with a focus on reliability engineering.
• Expert knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture.
• Strong production‑quality development skills in Python or JavaScript.
• Experience conducting incident response, root‑cause analysis and building automation.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and apply AI tooling to accelerate problem solving.
