Assistant Architect

About the role

PrimeTech Design and Engineering is seeking a motivated Assistant Architect to support design, procurement and visualisation activities across multiple projects. You will work closely with senior architects, translate client concepts into detailed drawings, and ensure technical accuracy throughout the delivery process.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret sketches and conceptual designs from senior architects and clients into complete, technically correct drawings.
• Produce detailed technical details, material take‑offs, quantity calculations and Bills of Quantities.
• Prepare design reports, cost analyses, meeting minutes and site visit reports.
• Supervise NYSC and IT interns, deputise for an architect when absent, and ensure design coordination on assigned projects.
• Utilise PTN/JBI spreadsheets and matrices for accurate material estimation.
• Create visualisations, animations and virtual‑reality presentations to support design communication.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Mid‑level professional with strong drafting ability.
• Familiarity with Nigerian and British Standard building codes.

Required skills

• Drafting and technical drawing.
