Airport Manager – Lagos

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking an experienced Airport Manager to lead its Lagos operations. The role involves overseeing all passenger and aircraft handling activities, ensuring safety, security, and service standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and supervise passenger and aircraft handling on a shift basis, adhering to checklists, brand standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in daily operations, including weekend and public‑holiday shifts, to maintain seamless airport performance.
• Manage safety and security outcomes through hazard identification, risk assessment, monitoring and reporting.
• Coordinate VIP, MAAS, PRM and other special‑guest requirements, including flight editing and planning.
• Develop, rehearse and execute emergency response, disruption, diversion and business continuity plans.
• Monitor on‑time performance, investigate delays and implement mitigation actions.
• Drive ancillary sales, promotional activities and compliance with related processes.
• Ensure customer‑service standards are met and report on associated KPIs.
• Act as the Local Security Contact Officer.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education or equivalent industry experience.
• 7‑9 years of leadership or senior management experience in airport or aviation operations.
• Proven ability to lead multicultural teams in a high‑pressure, shift‑based environment.
• Experience with safety, security and regulatory compliance in an airport setting.
• Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement.
• Previous regional or international exposure is advantageous.
