Accountant

About the role

PC Recruit Nigeria is recruiting an Accountant for a position based in Lagos, Marina. The role covers day-to-day bookkeeping, invoice and payment handling, reporting and support of audits, and is open to fresh graduates.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses and payments.
• Assist in processing supplier invoices, customer payments and outstanding balances.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory movements, stock valuation and reconcile physical stock with accounting records.
• Prepare, verify and file invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and other financial documents.
• Assist in preparing daily, weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Track operational expenses and ensure proper documentation and authorization.
• Support the preparation of tax documents and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing relevant financial records.
• Maintain financial data using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Required profile

• HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience; fresh graduates may apply.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organizational skills, with high accuracy, integrity and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with accounting software
