Accountant

About the role

Sylvastar Group Limited is looking for an experienced Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance across its business units in Abuja.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date financial records, accounting entries and reconcile bank statements, cashbooks and ledgers.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and management statements.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, process invoices, payment vouchers and monitor cash flow.
• Assist with departmental and company budgeting, payroll accounting and staff advances.
• Support tax computations, statutory deductions, remittances and regulatory filings.
• Provide financial analysis to management and support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
• Effective communication and collaboration with other departments.
