About the role
The Welder will be responsible for welding and assembling metal components using handheld equipment, following specifications, drawings and weld symbols. The role involves setting up parts, using hand tools, clamps, jigs and fixtures to produce quality welds for power‑generation and construction projects.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and secure workpieces using clamps, jigs and fixtures.
- Measure, cut and prepare materials according to drawings and specifications.
- Perform welding operations, including pipe welding, to join metals accurately.
- Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet tolerance and blueprint requirements.
- Source required materials and maintain an organized work area.
Required profile
- Minimum Trade Test Certificate in welding.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
