Venture Lead – Project‑based (Lagos)

About the role

SPRAY, a commerce platform launching in Nigeria, is seeking a hands‑on Venture Lead to bridge founders, developers, designers and the local ecosystem. This contract position is based in Lagos and will drive product development, payments integration and the launch of flagship stores.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the product roadmap, work with developers, test builds, identify bugs and ensure UI/UX decisions are implemented.
• Manage conversations and technical integrations with banks, payment service providers and fintech partners covering collections, virtual accounts, payouts, KYC and settlement.
• Lead the pilot launch of 5‑30 flagship SPRAY stores across categories such as fashion, food, beauty and services.
• Build a database of 500 potential partners, conduct outreach, gather feedback and prepare sellers for market launch.
• Represent SPRAY locally with creators, businesses, agencies, logistics firms and financial institutions.
• Maintain a master roadmap, track deliverables, organise meetings and keep founders informed of progress and blockers.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of technology and product development, able to communicate effectively with engineers.
• Familiarity with UI/UX principles and consumer‑focused digital products.
• Comfortable engaging with banks, fintechs and payment companies.
• Deep knowledge of Lagos culture and how young Nigerians buy, sell and build online businesses.
