Technical Sales Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to support our renewable energy projects in the Marina region. The role combines technical expertise in solar PV, inverter and battery storage systems with sales and customer support responsibilities. You will ensure installations meet quality and safety standards while providing training to field teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve system designs for solar PV, inverter and battery storage projects, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Supervise and quality‑check installation work performed by technicians and contractors across the region.
• Develop and deliver technical training programmes for field technicians, installers and City Manager teams.
• Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues, faults and warranty claims.
• Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers on technical specifications, product updates and warranty support.
• Maintain technical documentation, including schematics, installation manuals and maintenance logs.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of recurring faults and recommend corrective actions.
• Support the Regional Project Manager with technical input during planning, costing and risk assessment.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and technical specifications for repairs.
• Monitor emerging renewable energy technologies and advise on product adoption.
• Perform periodic technical audits of installed systems to ensure ongoing performance and safety.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience (approximately 3 years) in solar PV, inverter and battery storage technologies.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation practices and relevant safety codes.
• Ability to read and produce technical drawings, schematics and system designs.
• Excellent troubleshooting and fault‑diagnosis capabilities.
• Experience in training or mentoring field technicians is a plus.
