Senior Contract Manager – Power Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Contract Manager to lead the contractual, technical and commercial execution of a large‑scale regional power transmission network across several African nations. Reporting to the Owner’s Engineering Project Manager, you will act as the key bridge between the client, international contractors, public authorities and consortium partners.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and enforce compliance of multiple project contracts and amendments, coordinating with the client and consortium leadership.
• Manage claims, variation orders and dispute resolution procedures to protect project interests.
• Review, audit and verify contractor invoices, milestone achievements and payment certificates.
• Ensure design conformity with approved engineering, civil, electrical and mechanical specifications.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess work quality, adherence to plans and QA standards.
• Monitor health, safety and environmental (HSE) compliance on‑site.
• Evaluate weekly schedules, identify critical path delays and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare comprehensive progress reports for project leadership and financial stakeholders.
• Liaise with public authorities and facilitate coordination meetings with the client and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Seasoned engineer or project manager with extensive experience in high‑voltage grid infrastructure.
• Proven expertise in international contract frameworks such as FIDIC.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑border infrastructure projects.
• Strong commercial and technical acumen for contract and claims management.
