Remote Accountant – US GAAP/UK GAAP Expertise

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and deliver accurate financial reporting for our growing business. The position is fully remote and requires expertise in either US GAAP or UK accounting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP).

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue, and invoices in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable, and ensure tax compliance.
• Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns, and process payroll in line with local regulations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• CPA (US) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA (UK) preferred.
• Strong analytical abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Reliable backup power, internet connection, and a functional laptop.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or SAP.
