Relationship Officer

About the role

The Relationship Officer will drive customer acquisition and retention for Pennylender’s loan products. You will act as the primary point of contact, guiding clients through the loan journey and ensuring a high‑quality experience.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new customers through direct sales, referrals, networking and other channels.
• Promote Pennylender’s loan products and services to prospective and existing customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage retention and repeat business.
• Understand customers’ financial needs and recommend appropriate lending solutions.
• Guide customers through the loan application and documentation process.
• Follow up on loan applications to ensure timely processing and disbursement.
• Monitor customer repayment activities and follow up on outstanding obligations.
• Generate quality leads and convert prospects into active customers.
• Achieve assigned monthly customer acquisition, disbursement, and revenue targets.
• Maintain accurate customer records and provide regular reports on sales and portfolio activities.
• Identify potential customer and credit risks and escalate them appropriately.
• Ensure all customer interactions and transactions comply with company policies and procedures.

Required profile

• HND in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in lending, banking, fintech, micro‑finance, sales or relationship management.
• Strong communication, negotiation and customer acquisition abilities.
• Target‑driven with solid business development and problem‑solving skills.
