Regional Head Internal Audit

About the role

The Regional Head Internal Audit (RHIA) for Nigeria supports the Group Chief Internal Auditor (GCIA) in delivering independent assurance and advisory services across the Group’s financial and operational processes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and review internal audit packs for Board Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee (BARCC), Cluster Audit Committees, Executive Committee, and Statutory Audit Committee.
• Lead special internal audit reviews for other Dangote business units and ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management audits.
• Prepare and present anti‑fraud reports, management letter validations, and audit findings to senior executives.
• Liaise with external consultants and auditors, and ensure regulatory submissions to bodies such as the FRCN and SEC.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, with at least 8 years in senior management.
• Professional membership in CIA, ICAN, ACCA, CPA, or IIA; advanced degrees (MBA or Master’s in Accounting) are a plus.
• Experience in top‑tier audit firms or global manufacturing companies, preferably with multi‑industry exposure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP GRC and Power BI.
• Knowledge of ISO 22301, COSO control models, and IFRS reporting standards.
