Quantity Surveyor (Entry-Level)

About the role

ATOP NIGERIA, a company specialising in building waterproofing, damp treatment, construction materials and building renovation, is hiring a detail-oriented, analytical and proactive Quantity Surveyor in Lagos. The role supports project estimation, budgeting, material quantification, cost control and financial monitoring across construction and renovation projects. The position is full-time, entry-level (0-2 years experience) and pays N100,000 - N150,000 per month.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), project cost estimates and quotations.
• Conduct site measurements and calculate material quantities.
• Prepare project budgets and monitor expenses.
• Develop material schedules and support procurement planning.
• Analyse labour, material, equipment and subcontractor costs, and review supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Monitor project expenditure, material usage and cost variations.
• Carry out site visits to assess progress and verify measurements.
• Prepare valuations, cost reports and financial documentation.
• Collaborate with project supervisors, technical teams and management, and keep accurate records of estimates, measurements and expenses.

Required profile

• HND or BSc in Quantity Surveying from a recognised institution; fresh graduates with strong practical knowledge are encouraged to apply.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Good understanding of construction measurements, BOQ preparation and cost estimation.
• Basic knowledge of building materials, construction processes and renovation works.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, and good communication, organisational and reporting skills.
• Willingness to conduct site inspections and travel to project locations; applicants must be based in Lagos, preferably on the Lekki, Ajah, Sangotedo, Awoyaya or Ibeju-Lekki axis, or willing to relocate at their own expense.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant quantity surveying tools.
• BOQ preparation and cost estimation.
