About the role

We are looking for a Physics Expert to help evaluate large language models by designing and solving advanced physics problems. This short‑term remote contract involves creating detailed, step‑by‑step solutions and collaborating with LLM researchers.

Key responsibilities

Design and solve challenging physics problems for LLM evaluation benchmarks.
Produce clear, step‑by‑step solutions with thorough reasoning.
Collaborate with researchers to develop new undergraduate‑to‑PhD‑level benchmarks.
Analyze complex physics questions using logical, structured approaches.
Explain physics concepts in simple language, supported by visuals where appropriate.

Required profile

Master’s, Ph.D., or currently pursuing a Ph.D./Postdoctoral degree in Physics, Applied Physics or a related field.
Strong research, analytical and creative problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent written communication and ability to work effectively in a remote team.

Required skills

Proficiency in at least three of the following tools: QuTiP, OQuPy, QuSpin, TenPy, Strawberry Fields, openEMS, ngspice, Quantum ESPRESSO, OpenFOAM, FEniCS/FEniCSx (DOLFINx), WarpX, REBOUND, PYTHIA, Kwant, Elmer FEM, GF180MCU PDK, Sky130 PDK, FreeCAD, Project Chrono, Scilab Xcos, volare, emcee, Icarus Verilog, GTKWave, Verilator, gmsh, pyarmadillo, MeshLab.

What we offer

Compensation of $346 per approved task.
11‑week contract with an 8‑hour daily schedule and a 4‑hour overlap with PST.
Immediate start and remote work flexibility.
