Personal Assistant

About the role

A Personal Assistant is sought in Lagos to handle the employer's errands, administrative support and coordination of repairs and supplies. The role involves running errands, taking notes, arranging maintenance and keeping records, and requires discretion and independence.

Key responsibilities

• Run personal errands and shop for items, materials and supplies, comparing prices and confirming quality, and keep records and receipts.
• Take notes during meetings and briefings, track tasks, appointments and follow-ups, and help organise schedules and documents.
• Contact and coordinate artisans, technicians, plumbers and electricians, arrange repair appointments and follow up on completion.
• Ensure materials and supplies are available, assist with deliveries and collections, and notify the employer when replenishment is needed.
• Provide regular updates on errands, purchases and repairs, maintain confidentiality, communicate professionally with vendors and suppliers, and handle cash and receipts honestly.

Required profile

• Minimum of an SSCE; an OND or equivalent is an advantage.
• Previous experience as a personal assistant, errand runner, administrative assistant or in a similar support role is an advantage.
• Trustworthy, discreet, resourceful and attentive to instructions.
• Ability to work independently and manage several assignments at once.

Required skills

• Good communication, organisation and time management.
• Basic numeracy and record-keeping.
• Ability to navigate Lagos and move between markets, shops and offices.
• Smartphone use for calls, messages, navigation and task updates.
