Operational Audit Manager - QSR/Confectionery

About the role

The Operational Audit Manager provides independent oversight of operational processes, controls and compliance across outlets, production, inventory and support functions. The role identifies risks, leakages and inefficiencies and drives corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular operational audits across outlets, production, stores, inventory, procurement and logistics.
• Review compliance with SOPs, internal controls, food safety standards and company policies.
• Identify operational risks, process gaps, revenue leakages, wastage, stock variances and control weaknesses.
• Review sales, inventory, cash handling, purchasing and operational records for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare audit reports with findings, root causes, risks and recommended corrective actions.
• Follow up on agreed corrective actions and monitor closure of audit findings.
• Carry out surprise checks and investigate suspected operational irregularities where required.
• Analyse operational data to spot unusual trends and variances.
• Work with Operations, Finance, HR, Procurement and other functions to strengthen controls and improve efficiency.
• Recommend practical process improvements that enhance accountability, cost control and profitability.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Internal Audit or a related field.
• 5-8 years' experience in operational audit, internal audit, risk, controls or compliance, preferably in QSR, FMCG, retail, hospitality or food manufacturing.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, CIA or equivalent is an advantage.
• Ideal candidate is analytical, commercially aware and detail-oriented, with the courage to challenge non-compliance and a solutions-focused approach.
