Manager / Senior Manager – Impact Data & Evidence

About the role

IDinsight is seeking experienced managers to lead client engagements, provide evidence‑based advice, and shape the organization’s growth in Africa. The role can be based in Dakar, Senegal or Rabat, Morocco and involves direct interaction with senior leaders in governments, foundations, NGOs, and socially impactful businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Establish trusted advisor relationships with clients and deliver high‑quality counsel based on rigorous evidence.
• Lead all elements of advisory and evaluation projects, including design, analytical oversight, and production of policy briefs, technical reports, and presentations.
• Manage project administration, staffing, timesheets, leave, and change management processes.
• Mentor junior staff, ensure quality control, and foster a collaborative, high‑performance environment.
• Design and manage project budgets, identify financial risks, and ensure funder compliance.
• Contribute to IDinsight’s organizational development, new client engagements, and potential office expansions.

Required profile

• Deep passion for improving lives worldwide and interest in evidence‑based impact measurement.
• Advanced degree (e.g., public policy, economics, public administration, business).
• 4–8 years of relevant experience, including managerial experience in similar settings.
• Outstanding interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with senior decision‑makers.
• Strong critical‑thinking abilities and nuanced understanding of data and evidence tools.
• Self‑starter attitude, intellectual curiosity, and sense of humour.

Required skills

• Ability to develop a deep understanding of data and evidence tools and apply them to client questions.
• Experience collaborating with technical teams to maintain rigor of analytical work.
