Maintenance Manager

About the role

Eleganza is seeking a proactive Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep and renovation of its property portfolio in Marina, Lagos. You will be responsible for establishing a robust maintenance programme, controlling budgets and ensuring a safe, well‑maintained environment for tenants and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a planned maintenance schedule for all assets.
• Track expenditure, manage the maintenance budget and report variances.
• Arrange, negotiate and oversee contracts for waste removal, landscaping, security and other services.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date asset register and service history for plant and equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections, identify faults and coordinate timely repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures across all departments.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with departmental staff.
• Identify neglected maintenance activities, advise senior management and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Estate Management, Building Technology or a related engineering discipline; MSc/MBA is an advantage.
• Membership of a recognised building services body is a plus.
• At least 5 years of property maintenance experience with demonstrable managerial responsibility.
