Loan Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Loan Officer to market and promote our loan products in Lagos. The role combines sales, marketing and basic credit assessment to acquire new customers and support existing ones.

Key responsibilities

• Market and promote loan products and financial services through various channels.
• Identify and generate new customers via direct marketing, referrals, social media, and networking.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Explain loan terms, eligibility, interest rates and repayment schedules.
• Receive, process and verify loan applications and required documentation.
• Conduct preliminary customer assessments and verify information.
• Follow up on applications, monitor repayments and manage outstanding obligations.
• Achieve marketing, customer acquisition and loan disbursement targets.
• Prepare regular reports on activities, acquisitions and performance.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, micro‑finance, lending or banking.
• Proven ability to meet sales and customer acquisition targets.
• Good knowledge of loan products; basic credit assessment is a plus.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
