Information Technology (IT) Officer

About the role

Our client, a reputable financial institution in Lagos, is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Officer to support the organisation's technology infrastructure, systems, users, and digital banking operations. The role involves first‑level technical support, hardware and software maintenance, network management, and core banking application assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level technical support to staff across the head office and branches, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, and system issues.
• Maintain documentation of incidents, service requests, and resolutions, and escalate complex problems as needed.
• Support the BankOne core banking application, handling user access, functionality queries, performance monitoring, and coordination with vendors.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, printers, network devices, and maintain LAN/WAN and internet connectivity.
• Perform routine maintenance, preventive checks, and keep accurate records of IT assets.
• Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts in line with access‑control procedures.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in IT support, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Entry‑level qualification with a service‑oriented, hands‑on attitude.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Familiarity with core banking applications is a plus.
