Human Resources Intern

About the role

Apothems Nigeria Limited is looking for a Human Resources Intern in Lagos (Marina) to support its HR functions. The role covers recruitment assistance, employee records and onboarding, and is open to students and recent graduates.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with advertising job vacancies, screening CVs, shortlisting candidates and scheduling interviews
• Contact applicants, send interview invitations and help arrange interviews
• Maintain and update employee files, attendance records and other HR documents
• Help welcome new employees, prepare onboarding documents and explain company policies
• Handle basic HR paperwork, prepare reports and carry out other administrative duties assigned
• Track staff attendance, punctuality and leave records
• Communicate professionally with applicants, employees and other departments, and handle employee enquiries
• Keep employee information and company records confidential and perform other tasks assigned by the HR Manager or supervisor

Required profile

• Minimum of an OND in a related field such as Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology or a related field; students and recent graduates may also be considered
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to work effectively in a team and good interpersonal skills

Required skills

• Basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Word, Excel and email
• Organization and record-keeping, problem-solving and critical thinking
• Discretion when handling confidential information
