Human Resources Business Partner

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and business‑oriented Human Resources Business Partner to support our growing operations in Ilorin. The HRBP will act as a strategic partner to business leaders, aligning talent initiatives with company objectives and ensuring compliance with Nigerian labour regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements and manage end‑to‑end recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, offer management and onboarding.
• Act as the primary HR contact for employees and managers, addressing concerns, grievances and workplace issues while fostering a positive work environment.
• Support performance review cycles, coach managers on performance improvement and monitor employee performance trends.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws, maintain accurate employee records, and support payroll and benefits administration.
• Identify training needs, coordinate development programs and support leadership development and succession planning.
• Prepare HR reports, analyse recruitment, turnover, attendance and engagement metrics to aid business decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably as an HR Business Partner or Generalist.
• Strong understanding of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices.
• Experience in recruitment, employee relations and performance management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
