HR Graduate Trainee

About the role

Engineering Automation Technology Limited is recruiting an HR Graduate Trainee in Lagos (Marina). The role covers the day-to-day coordination of recruitment, onboarding, attendance and leave, employee records and basic HR reporting, working closely with hiring managers and the HR Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate approved recruitment activities such as CV screening, interview scheduling, candidate assessments, reference checks and recruitment reputation, with hiring managers.
• Coordinate employee onboarding, prepare approved employment documents, complete personnel records and follow up on the provision of work tools and resources.
• Maintain accurate, confidential employee records, HR trackers and personnel databases in line with EATLS document control procedures.
• Monitor attendance, process leave applications, track employee movements and escalate unexplained absences or irregularities.
• Support employee appraisals, probation reviews, confirmations, KPI documentation and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
• Support the resolution and documentation of routine employee enquiries, grievances and disciplinary matters, escalating sensitive cases to the HR Manager.
• Support training coordination, maintain training records and support employee development plans.
• Maintain employee information in Paycom, update personnel changes and generate HR reports.
• Verify employee data, salary changes, allowances, leave records and payroll inputs with Finance, and prepare periodic HR reports and dashboards on headcount, recruitment, turnover, absenteeism, leave, training and appraisals.

Required profile

• 1-2 years of relevant work experience in Human Resources or a related administrative role; fresh graduates with a strong interest in a career in HR are also encouraged to apply.
• Previous internship, industrial training, NYSC or exposure to HR activities is an advantage.
• HND in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Psychology, Sociology, Management or a related discipline.
• Relevant HR certifications or membership of a recognised professional HR body is an added advantage.
