Home Tutor for JSS 1 Student in Royal Avenue Estate, Rivers

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated home tutor to support a JSS 1 student who is currently falling behind in her studies. The tutor will provide personalized lessons in several subjects at the family’s residence in Royal Avenue Estate, Rivers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver daily 1.5‑hour tutoring sessions on General Mathematics, English Language, Basic Sciences, Business Studies and History.
• Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials aligned with the Nigerian Curriculum.
• Assess the student’s progress and adjust teaching methods to accelerate learning.
• Communicate regularly with the parent regarding performance and areas needing attention.
• Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment at the client’s location.

Required profile

• Experience tutoring junior secondary school (JSS 1) students, preferably in the Nigerian education system.
• Available to teach on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:00 PM.
• Able to travel to Royal Avenue Estate, Rivers.
• Patient, reliable and able to motivate a student who is lagging behind.

What we offer

• Monthly remuneration of ₦84,000.
