FTTH Project Quality Director

About the role

The FTTH Project Quality Director will lead the local quality team for ZTE Nigeria’s telecom projects, ensuring that all engineering work meets the highest standards of quality, safety and environmental compliance. This senior position requires close coordination with customers, subcontractors and internal engineering, outsourcing and acceptance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the local quality team, including work order review, on‑site quality and EHS inspections, and develop daily work plans.
• Coordinate quality and EHS matters with customers, subcontractors and internal project teams.
• Track major EHS and quality issues to guarantee closed‑loop resolution.
• Report progress and results to the Chinese project team and produce weekly and monthly reports.
• Oversee quality for all ZTE Nigeria projects, covering FTTH, wireless and microwave deployments.

Required profile

• Engineering experience in FTTH, wireless and microwave projects.
• Proven team‑management and strong organisational skills.
• Excellent documentation abilities using Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Effective communication with external customers, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Proactive, responsible attitude with readiness to be on standby as project demands.
• Prior experience in quality and EHS management of large‑scale communication engineering projects is preferred.
