Electrical Technical Supervisor

About the role

A growing technical team in Ikoyi, Lagos is looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to supervise electrical technicians, coordinate maintenance activities, troubleshoot electrical faults and make sure all electrical works are completed safely and to the required standards. The position is full-time and shift based.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of electrical technicians and other technical personnel.
• Oversee the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical installations and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults and ensure timely corrective action.
• Monitor the performance and productivity of technicians and give technical guidance where needed.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with safety standards, company procedures and applicable regulations.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance reports, job cards, checklists and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate daily work schedules and inspect completed works for quality and compliance.
• Liaise with clients, facility representatives and other technical teams, identify hazards and respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies.

Required profile

• OND/HND/B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years' relevant experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in Facility Management or a similar environment.
• Proven experience supervising or leading electrical technicians.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills; able to work under pressure and independently within a team.

Required skills

• Electrical installations, maintenance, fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and safe working practices.
