Derma Advisor

About the role

The Derma Advisor will work on the shop floor to guide shoppers through personalized skincare solutions. You will use specialised diagnostic equipment to assess skin needs and recommend products that match each customer’s routine.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily priorities, sales targets and stock levels.
• Maintain primary and secondary product displays and ensure active brand promotions are visible.
• Approach shoppers professionally, conduct skin diagnostics and suggest tailored product regimens.
• Demonstrate product textures, explain benefits and handle objections to close sales.
• Manage product samples, minis and giveaways, and record shopper interactions in WTS.
• Restock shelves, provide light merchandising support and safeguard diagnostic equipment.
• Report inventory shortages, track daily sales achievement and complete administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent with at least two years of relevant education.
• Scientific background or experience in pharmaceuticals, beauty or skincare.
• Strong verbal communication, active listening and customer‑service skills.
• Proactive, self‑driven, target‑oriented and confident in approaching shoppers.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy retail environment.

Required skills

• Operation of skin diagnostics equipment.
