Chemical Engineer – Remote Short‑Term Contract (11 weeks)

About the role

We are seeking a remote Chemistry Expert to work on advanced, postgraduate‑level chemistry problems for an 11‑week short‑term contract. The role involves creating detailed explanations, visual representations, and providing feedback to support AI model fine‑tuning.

Key responsibilities

• Solve advanced chemistry problems, including organic reaction mechanisms, chemical equilibrium, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, and electrochemistry.
• Create detailed textual explanations, annotated chemical structures, and visual diagrams such as energy and reaction‑progress charts.
• Provide constructive feedback and detailed annotations on chemistry‑related tasks.
• Contribute analytical problem‑solving and structured reasoning to AI model fine‑tuning projects.
• Explain chemistry concepts clearly using simple language, visuals, and simulations when needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. (or currently pursuing) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Strong research, analytical, and logical problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written communication and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• LinkedIn profile included in the resume; background check required after onboarding.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least three of the following tools: GROMACS, LAMMPS, Psi4, PySCF, xtb, crest, Multiwfn, Cantera, CoolProp, NWChem, PyBaMM, RDKit, Open Babel.

What we offer

• $450 per approved task.
• Full‑time commitment of 40 hours per week with a 4‑hour overlap with PST.
• Remote work with flexible schedule for the 11‑week contract period.
