About the role
We are looking for an experienced Chef to lead the preparation of Indian and Chinese dishes in a fast‑paced kitchen environment. The role focuses on delivering authentic flavors, maintaining high standards of hygiene, and contributing creative ideas for new menu items.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian and Chinese dishes according to menu standards.
- Specialize in Dim Sum preparation, including steamed, fried, and baked varieties.
- Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation for every plate.
- Develop and suggest new menu items and seasonal specialties.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and adhere to food safety standards.
- Manage kitchen inventory, ensuring proper storage of ingredients.
- Monitor food quality, minimize waste, and control costs.
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff as needed.
- Deliver timely preparation and service during peak hours.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Indian and Chinese cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of authentic spices, sauces, and cooking techniques.
- Proven expertise in Dim Sum, wok cooking, gravies, and tandoor operation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced kitchen.
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Team player with effective communication skills.
