Accountant – Financial Operations & Project Controls Lead

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing FinTech, is looking for a disciplined Accountant to lead financial operations and project controls. You will oversee PeerPay contributions, manage implementation budgets, and ensure accurate financial reporting for strategic projects and partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Track and manage all project‑related expenditures and financial support.
• Monitor budget utilization, implementation spending, and funding releases.
• Coordinate financial approvals, disbursement controls, and vendor payments.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial and operational reports.
• Ensure strict compliance with approved budgets and governance processes.
• Support implementation planning with accurate forecasting and cost analysis.
• Collaborate closely with operations, project management, and leadership teams.
• Help establish scalable financial accountability systems for deployment activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, project accounting, or operations finance.
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Experience in fintech, technology, consulting, or fast‑paced operational environments is preferred.
• Deep understanding of financial governance, approval controls, and procurement processes.
• High integrity, detail‑oriented, and operationally disciplined.
