Transaction Officer – Banking Operations

About the role

The Transaction Officer will manage daily banking transactions, ensuring each deposit, withdrawal and electronic fund transfer is processed accurately and promptly. This role supports both customers and internal teams by providing clear explanations of fees and maintaining a trustworthy financial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process bank deposits, withdrawals and electronic fund transfers.
• Verify that all transactions are reflected correctly in customer and company accounts.
• Explain transaction fees and resolve discrepancies in account statements.
• Educate customers on various payment methods and promote smooth transaction experiences.
• Monitor for potential fraud and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Degree or HND in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Professional integrity, ethics and ability to handle confidential information.
• Effective communication and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Residency in Alagbado, Lagos (NYSC discharge certificate is an advantage).

Required skills

• Proficiency in financial software.
