Training Manager

About the role

The Training Manager will lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of learning initiatives that support business goals across our retail, fashion and FMCG operations. Reporting to senior leadership, you will create a culture of continuous development and ensure employees have the knowledge and skills to excel.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Establish competency frameworks and structured learning pathways for all functions.
• Design and deliver onboarding, technical, leadership, sales and behavioural training programs.
• Create certification programmes that drive career progression and competence.
• Lead product education initiatives to enhance employee knowledge and brand representation.
• Develop customer service and retail excellence training to improve the shopping experience and sales performance.
• Design leadership development programmes for supervisors, store managers and senior leaders.
• Produce training manuals, facilitator guides, videos and e‑learning content, incorporating micro‑learning and blended approaches.
• Partner with business leaders to identify capability gaps and implement targeted interventions.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years (96 months) of experience in learning and development or training, preferably within retail, fashion or FMCG.
• Proven track record of designing and delivering effective onboarding, technical and leadership programmes.
• Experience collaborating with senior business leaders to assess and close capability gaps.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of trainers and learning specialists.
