About the role
Moniepoint is looking for a Team Lead to oversee the Credit Application Review function. You will ensure that every credit applicant is verified, compliant, and ready to engage with our financial ecosystem while maintaining speed and precision.
Key responsibilities
- Guard verification standards to align with consumer lending policies and risk frameworks.
- Provide the final sign‑off on verification findings before credit decisions are made.
- Manage, mentor, and equip online and field verification agents.
- Detect and flag potential fraud or high‑risk applications early.
- Ensure all verification tasks meet defined SLA timelines.
- Maintain audit‑ready documentation and data accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify friction points and improve verification workflows.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years experience in financial services.
- At least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role within verification, risk, compliance, or loan operations.
- Deep understanding of document review, internal controls, and Nigerian regulatory requirements.
