System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a proactive System Administrator to join our IT team in Lagos. The role involves ensuring the reliability of hardware, managing assets, and keeping our operating systems up‑to‑date.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑ and second‑line technical support for desktops, laptops and peripherals, diagnosing faults and coordinating repairs.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, handling procurement, tagging, assignment tracking and disposal.
• Plan and execute OS upgrades, patches and system re‑imaging across the device fleet.
• Administer print servers and network printers/MFPs, including driver deployment and troubleshooting.
• Install, upgrade and maintain standard software images and business applications.
• Document asset registers and support tickets, delivering regular status reports.
• Respond promptly to hardware and system incidents, escalating when necessary.

Required profile

• HND in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in system administration or IT hardware support.
• Proven experience with IT asset management and tagging processes.
• Solid knowledge of Windows and/or Linux system administration, imaging and patch management.
• Experience managing print servers and multifunction printers in an office environment.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Windows Server or ITIL Foundation are an advantage.
