Subject Teacher – Secondary School (Cambridge/WAEC)

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Subject Teachers to join our reputable international school in Lagos. You will deliver engaging lessons across Cambridge Checkpoint, IGCSE, WAEC and BECE curricula, preparing secondary students for both internal and external examinations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons aligned with Cambridge, WAEC and NERDC/BECE standards.
• Administer, mark and evaluate assessments, coursework and examinations.
• Provide holiday lessons, weekend tutorials and revision classes as needed.
• Monitor student progress and give constructive feedback to learners and parents.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning and school‑wide academic initiatives.
• Support co‑curricular activities such as subject clubs, competitions and STEM programmes.
• Maintain accurate academic records and contribute to pastoral care.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Master’s preferred).
• 3–5 years of teaching experience, including at an international school.
• Proven success preparing students for Cambridge, WAEC and BECE examinations.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong classroom management, organisational and interpersonal skills.
