Structural Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Structural Engineer to lead and coordinate structural projects for Lekki Gardens Estates Limited in Lagos. The role involves overseeing design, construction, and compliance activities while collaborating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to define project objectives and requirements.
• Conduct site assessments and manage day‑to‑day project operations, ensuring safety and industry standards.
• Monitor project progress, prepare reports on performance, financials, and risk, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Conduct regular meetings, inspections, and assessments to verify compliance with engineering principles and quality specifications.
• Foster a collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with 10‑13 years in a similar role.
• COREN certification is mandatory; PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.
• Proven experience as a construction project manager with strong understanding of construction procedures, material handling, and project management principles.
• Familiarity with quality, health and safety standards and relevant engineering software.
