Site Engineer

About the role

The Site Engineer will work full‑time on‑site in Lagos for Fixupfamily, an architecture firm focused on renovations and new builds. The role involves overseeing daily construction activities, ensuring work follows architectural and structural plans, specifications, and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily construction activities and ensure compliance with architectural and structural plans.
• Coordinate with architects, civil and structural engineers, contractors, and suppliers to maintain project timelines and quality.
• Monitor site progress, conduct inspections, and address technical issues promptly.
• Implement quality control procedures and ensure adherence to building codes and safety regulations.
• Prepare site reports, document work performed, and support effective communication among all project stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong on‑site construction management experience, including supervising work and resolving day‑to‑day site issues.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Solid understanding of structural and civil engineering principles applied to building and renovation projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings.
• Experience with construction scheduling, site documentation, and basic project management tools.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in Lagos and adapt to changing project requirements.
