Senior Manager, Product Management – Payments

About the role

Western Union is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Payments Fund Out product portfolio. You will shape strategy, drive new capabilities and partner integrations, and ensure the solution scales globally while meeting compliance and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the Payments Fund Out product strategy through new features, country roll‑outs and partner integrations.
• Identify and develop new product opportunities based on customer insight, partner feedback and market analysis.
• Build business cases that define value propositions, scope, prioritisation and expected outcomes.
• Conduct competitive and comparative analyses to guide feature prioritisation and integration standards.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of product initiatives, from requirements definition to post‑release monitoring.
• Translate strategy into Epics, Features, Stories and acceptance criteria aligned with regulatory and operational requirements.
• Manage and prioritise the product backlog across run, grow and improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate cross‑functional delivery with Commercial, Engineering, QA, Operations, Compliance and external partners.
• Support partner bank and payment provider onboarding, including technical assessments and go‑live coordination.
• Monitor product performance and customer experience metrics, recommending enhancements to strengthen Western Union’s value proposition.

Required profile

• 5+ years of product management experience in financial services, payments or fintech.
• Experience with integrations in banking or regulated environments.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret customer data, market trends and industry insights.
• Proven track record building business cases and evaluating revenue opportunities.
• Demonstrated success working cross‑functionally with external partners and internal technology, operations and commercial teams.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
