Senior Immigration & Compliance Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Immigration & Compliance Officer to lead the interpretation and application of immigration and visa regulations for our operations in Nigeria. The role involves senior-level human review, handling high‑risk cases, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret official immigration and visa requirements.
• Review visa‑route eligibility, complex cases, previous refusals, and immigration‑history issues.
• Assess sponsorship concerns, financial/document challenges, and mandatory versus discretionary requirements.
• Validate immigration rules used internally and handle escalated, high‑risk cases.
• Provide senior human review and support internal compliance processes.
• Collaborate with the technology team on immigration‑rule requirements.
• Review cases that require senior judgment and exceptions/exemptions.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• A degree in a related field.
• Experience in immigration law, compliance, senior visa operations, or international mobility.
• Background in immigration advisory, international education compliance, or consular/embassy operations.
• Legal or policy experience is advantageous.
