Security Officer

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Security Officer to protect the guests, staff and assets of Teestone Hotel and Apartment in Lagos. The role involves monitoring premises, responding to incidents and ensuring a safe environment for all visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol hotel premises, including guest areas, parking lots, entrances and restricted zones.
• Monitor CCTV, alarm systems and other security equipment.
• Control access and verify identities of visitors, contractors and vendors.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, accidents and guest concerns.
• Investigate, document and report incidents, thefts, damages or suspicious activities.
• Enforce hotel security policies, procedures and safety regulations.
• Assist in fire alarms, medical emergencies and evacuations.
• Maintain accurate security logs, reports and incident records.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire services and emergency responders when required.
• Provide courteous assistance and directions to guests and visitors.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential safety and security risks.

Required profile

• Minimum SSCE/High School Diploma; security training is a plus.
• At least 24 months of experience in security, law enforcement, military service or hospitality security.
• Strong observation, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Physical fitness to stand or patrol for extended periods.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
