About the role
The School Librarian will manage the library’s collection, support students and teachers, and promote a culture of reading and independent learning within the school community.
Key responsibilities
- Organise, classify, catalogue and maintain books and other library resources.
- Issue and receive library materials, keeping accurate records of borrowed and returned items.
- Follow up on overdue or missing books and enforce library rules.
- Assist students in locating resources, developing research skills, and completing projects.
- Collaborate with teachers to provide subject‑relevant books and learning materials.
- Maintain a quiet, safe, and respectful environment for all library users.
- Prepare periodic reports on library usage, acquisitions, and losses.
Required profile
- BSc in Library & Information Technology or Library Science.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar library role.
- Preferably resides in or near Lagos, Marina.
