Roll Forming Machine Operator

About the role

OphiraX Consult is seeking a skilled Roll Forming Machine Operator to join its production team in Marina, Lagos. The role involves operating and maintaining roll forming equipment to produce aluminium profiles while ensuring high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate roll forming and other production machinery according to established procedures.
• Set up machines for each production run and adjust settings to meet product specifications.
• Monitor machine performance, report faults promptly to the Mechanical Engineer, and assist with troubleshooting.
• Participate in machine changeovers, calibration, and routine maintenance activities.
• Conduct equipment inspections before and after production runs.
• Ensure finished products comply with quality standards and minimise material waste.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Record production data and machine operation logs accurately.

Required profile

• OND, Technical Certificate, Trade Test, or equivalent technical qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience operating roll forming machines in aluminium corrugation or similar manufacturing settings.
• Experience with automated industrial production machinery.
• Good understanding of machine safety procedures and quality control standards.
• Ability to read production specifications and follow technical instructions.
• Physically fit for work in a manufacturing environment.
