Reporting Analyst Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Reporting Analyst Assistant to support a fast‑growing Nigerian fintech client. You will audit data flows, maintain daily and monthly reports, and ensure the accuracy of financial information across systems. The position is fully remote and full‑time, reporting to senior consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily data exports from the fintech platform to spot missing or inconsistent entries.
• Compare transaction database figures with monthly reports to identify discrepancies.
• Update internal documentation and standard operating procedures when reporting processes change.
• Investigate system logs for failed data synchronisations and communicate findings to the technical team.
• Clean and organise complex spreadsheets for client use.
• Verify that new user tags flow correctly into the financial reporting tool after updates.
• Monitor shared email queues for report requests and gather data from dashboards.
• Track data‑cleanup tasks to ensure resolution before month‑end close.

Required profile

• Logical mindset with a passion for pinpointing process breakdowns.
• Strong attention to detail and persistence when numbers do not add up.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Clear, concise writing skills for documentation.
• Curiosity about financial data flows and willingness to learn new tools.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas and handling large data sets.
