Regional Commercial Manager – Phones (West & Central Africa)

About the role

The Regional Commercial Manager – Phones will lead the commercial strategy for PayGo smartphones across West and Central Africa. Reporting to senior leadership, you will partner with sales, product, supply‑chain and marketing teams to drive revenue growth, expand market share and ensure the right devices reach the right customers.

Key responsibilities

• Own regional commercial targets in partnership with the field sales team, ensuring product, pricing, channel coverage and marketing support are aligned.
• Monitor revenue and unit‑sales performance, diagnose gaps and coordinate corrective actions with sales, operations and market teams.
• Develop and manage OEM and distributor relationships, negotiate terms and secure optimal device availability.
• Identify, negotiate and commercialise telecom operator partnerships to unlock distribution, marketing and customer‑acquisition opportunities.
• Coordinate with supply‑chain to maintain forecast accuracy, manage stock levels, launch new models and phase‑out older devices.
• Work closely with marketing to localise campaigns, digital advertising, in‑store merchandising and go‑to‑market plans.

Required profile

• Commercially driven leader with strong analytical abilities.
• Extensive experience in the mobile‑devices ecosystem across sub‑Saharan Africa.
• Proven track record of achieving sales and revenue targets in a multi‑country environment.
• Highly collaborative, able to influence cross‑functional teams and external partners.
