Regional Area Manager – Downstream Oil & Gas (Nigeria)

About the role

We are seeking a Regional Area Manager to lead downstream oil and gas marketing across Nigeria, focusing on commercial customers and driving volume and margin targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop integrated marketing strategies, product pricing and sales plans for commercial petroleum products.
• Sell petroleum products through multiple channels and expand retail, franchise and branding networks.
• Establish, maintain and grow the customer base while increasing business opportunities via various routes to market.
• Set and monitor sales targets for individual representatives and the overall region.
• Recruit, train and allocate territories to sales staff, and motivate the team to achieve goals.
• Compile, analyse and report sales figures, handle major customer accounts, and collect market feedback.
• Report to senior managers and stay up‑to‑date with product developments and competitor activities.

Required profile

• A first degree (minimum second class lower) in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field; MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years’ sales management experience with a strong track record.
• Relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably downstream.
