Quality Control Laboratory Technician

About the role

The Quality Control Laboratory Technician ensures that raw materials and finished products meet strict industrial standards, focusing on GMP/GHP compliance and personnel safety. The role requires a highly organised, analytical professional with solid knowledge of food safety systems and regulatory requirements in the food and beverage sector.

Key responsibilities

• Support the operations team in following procedures and work instructions.
• Inspect and analyse incoming raw materials and packaging, retain reference samples.
• Perform inline product testing to meet defined quality parameters.
• Conduct personnel and premises checks for GMP and GHP adherence.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and equipment calibration.
• Coordinate external laboratory testing and manage result documentation.
• Investigate non‑conformances and customer complaints.
• Maintain product retention sample inventory and accurate records.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in quality analysis within food manufacturing, ingredient distribution, or FMCG.
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Quality Management or related field.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance, GMP, HACCP and food safety systems.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
