QA/QC Civil Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a QA/QC Civil Engineer to join R & R’s construction team in Lagos. The role involves ensuring that all civil works meet the required quality standards and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect construction activities to verify compliance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct quality inspections on earthworks, concrete, reinforcement, structural, masonry and finishing works.
• Review and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements and quality procedures.
• Identify non-conformances, raise NCRs and follow up corrective actions.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients and subcontractors.
• Verify that construction materials meet approved specifications before use.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation, inspection reports, test records and regular quality reports.
• Participate in site meetings and provide quality-related recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of QA/QC experience on civil construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, inspection procedures and engineering specifications.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Excellent analytical, communication and report-writing skills.
• Professional registration (COREN) or progress toward registration is an advantage.
