Public Health Business Development Lead – Market Access

About the role

Lead DP World’s public health business development across Africa, engaging ministries of health, donors and funders to secure procurement and supply‑chain opportunities. The role drives revenue growth in the public health sector by building relationships, understanding market dynamics and executing an engagement strategy for multiple African markets.

Key responsibilities

• Meet and exceed sales revenue targets for public health products and services across the region.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities in essential medicines, devices, equipment and consumables.
• Negotiate commercial terms, tender agreements and partnership frameworks with ministries, donors and distribution partners.
• Identify, evaluate and onboard local distribution partners and conduct due‑diligence assessments.
• Collaborate with DP World’s humanitarian aid, logistics and regulatory teams to ensure seamless supply‑chain execution and manage contracts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare business development, with at least 3 years in public health across African markets.
• Proven track record in customer relationship management, negotiations and partner onboarding.
• Strong understanding of public health systems, government procurement processes and African regulatory frameworks.
