Public Health Assistant

About the role

The Public Health Assistant will support basic clinical services in a community health setting. Working under the supervision of registered nurses, you will help ensure patients receive timely screenings and referrals. This role is based in Lagos, Marina and involves direct interaction with patients and health staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic clinical screenings such as blood pressure, weight, and vision checks.
• Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain medical supply inventories.
• Administer point‑of‑care tests under direct nurse supervision.
• Coordinate referrals to social services, food banks, and specialist clinics.
• Maintain confidential patient records in line with health privacy regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a related health or community service role.
• At least a diploma in a relevant field.
• Ability to work under supervision and follow strict hygiene protocols.
